Get Ready for "Every Kid Healthy Week"! April 20th–24th (calendar attached)
Next week, be on the lookout for ideas, strategies, and at-home activities for each daily theme!

If you would like to attend the "Helping Your Child Thrive" parent workshop on Tuesday the 21st or Thursday the 23rd, please complete the Google Doc below. This workshop will cover each daily theme, as well as, strategies to support your child during Milestone's Testing. $10 Colt Cash will be given to each child whose parent attends.

Also, back by popular demand, our Mystery Reader event will take place on Friday, April 24th for Family Engagement Friday, and there is a Google Doc to sign up attached. Bring your favorite book or we will have one for you, sign up to read to your child's class, and SHHHHHH.......keep it a secret.

Here is a shout out to Mrs. Phillip's 5th grade student leadership team member and student helper, Sarah Wilson! Mrs. Phillips said, "Sarah is so helpful every morning and jumps right in to help with a smile on her face. She has the best attitude, and I am so appreciative of her!"

Our paraprofessionals are the heart behind so much of what happens at DES. From supporting instruction and building relationships with students, to stepping in wherever they are needed, they make a difference in ways that can’t always be measured—but are always felt.

We didn’t want their appreciation to get lost in the jokes of April 1, because their impact is anything but one.

We are so thankful for our amazing paraprofessionals and the care, patience, and dedication they show every single day.
