Our Holiday Meal pre-sale is now through December 3rd at 3:00 pm on MyPaymentsPlus. Carrabba's spaghetti plates can be purchased on MyPaymentsPlus for $10. These plates include spaghetti, bread, & a salad. These plates are pre-sale only, and plate pickup will be on Friday, December 12th, at The Holiday Market from 5:30-7:30, dine-in or take-out.

DES Twins!

One of our 5th-grade student leaders took her job even a step further this week. Aria is a big buddy in Mrs. Marlowe and Mrs. Wade's kindergarten class. Every morning Aria gets to school early to help these Kindergarten Colts start their day. The kindergarteners have started their narrative unit and Aria took time to write and illustrate a story to read to the class. Way to go, Aria! #ColtsCanLead

Thanks again to everyone who came to support our Dine to Donate night at Texas Roadhouse. DES was the winner of the Battle of the Schools! Thank you, Texas Roadhouse, for hosting us, and thank you, families, for supporting our school!

Mrs. Byrd’s First Grade WIN class had a blast playing a Battleship-Style game- but with a Thanksgiving twist! Instead of sinking ships, students caught turkeys by using phonics decoding and blending skills to locate and capture each one. 🦃It was a fun and engaging way to strengthen reading skills while celebrating the season!

Don't forget! Our Turkey Trot is THIS SATURDAY! Parking for the event will be in the Board Office/Colt Academy parking lot. Registration will be 8:00-8:45. Please note when road closures will begin to plan your arrival. The FREE Tiny Turkey will start at 8:30. We will have face painting, a craft, a photo booth, and food trucks. We are so excited for our second annual Turkey Trot. All events will end at 11:00. There will be a free Tiny Turkey run at 8:30, and the 5K starts at 9:00.

PTO is accepting candy cane donations. You can send these in with your Colt or drop them off at the office.
