It is Principal Appreciation Day, and we are so thankful to have Mrs. Bray at DES! Mrs. Bray leads our school with heart, vision, and dedication, creating a place where Colts can dream, empower, and succeed every single day. Start looking for your library books! The Race to Zero starts May 8th! All library books will need to be returned or the replacement fee paid. The first homeroom to turn in ALL their library books will get a prize.

Get Ready for "Every Kid Healthy Week"! April 20th–24th (calendar attached)
Next week, be on the lookout for ideas, strategies, and at-home activities for each daily theme!

If you would like to attend the "Helping Your Child Thrive" parent workshop on Tuesday the 21st or Thursday the 23rd, please complete the Google Doc below. This workshop will cover each daily theme, as well as, strategies to support your child during Milestone's Testing. $10 Colt Cash will be given to each child whose parent attends.

Also, back by popular demand, our Mystery Reader event will take place on Friday, April 24th for Family Engagement Friday, and there is a Google Doc to sign up attached. Bring your favorite book or we will have one for you, sign up to read to your child's class, and SHHHHHH.......keep it a secret.
