It's almost time to Sail into Stories with the Literati Book Fair. The online fair is open NOW. You can purchase gift cards for your Colt to shop at the book fair. You can also purchase a gift card for your Colt's homeroom teacher or for the library to purchase books for the school.

The due date for Colt Derby funds has been extended to January 31st. To be eligible for prizes, please turn in any Colt Derby money by this date on MyPaymentsPlus. Last year, the Colt Derby proceeds were used to help fund new playground equipment at DES. We would like this year's proceeds to go towards the improvement of our outdoor spaces, including adding sun shades and an electric sign.

Individual Prizes-
Raise $50 and earn 30 minutes of extra recess and $20 in Colt Cash.
Raise $125 and earn popcorn, yard games, and time outside!
Raise $250 and earn a field trip to Funopolis with Coach Cutts.

The top-earning student will get to be PRINCIPAL for the day and have a special lunch.
The top earners for each grade will be treated to a special lunch with Mrs. Bray and Dr. Smith!
The top earner for each class will get TECH TIME in the media center.

Class Prizes-
If a class meets its class goal, $50 per student, they will receive a class-wide pizza party.
The top-earning class will get ice cream and extra recess time.

💯✨ 100 Day Glow Up! ✨💯

We’re glowing with pride as we prepare to celebrate the 100th Day of School! Students are invited to wear neon or bright colors and fun accessories for our 100 Day Glow Up on January 16th. 🎉🌈

This day is all about celebrating how much learning, growing, and shining has happened over the last 100 days. From reading and writing to math and milestones, our students have truly glowed up this school year!

Let’s light up the day and celebrate all the learning so far! 💡📚✨

Students in Ms. Langston and Ms. Ollis’s class celebrated the end of their second module with a “square meal” and a final watch of “Who’s on First?” During this module, students studied the art of wordplay, traveled to the Kingdom of Wisdom, and learned what can happen when you don’t have any Rhyme or Reason! We wrapped up the week by watching The Phantom Tollbooth movie! #ColtsCanLearn
