I have been an educator for 24 years with the last six years served at Madison County Middle School as an assistant principal. Before my time at the middle school, I was in Greene County, Oglethorpe County, and Commerce, working in various teaching roles and coaching. I feel extremely fortunate to have this opportunity to join the Ila Elementary staff. The energy in the building and the pride amongst the faculty are great indicators of the standard being set by the school and community.

Degrees and Certifications:

I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor degree in English Education. I also have a masters and specialist degree in Leadership through Troy University and Lincoln Memorial University respectively. 

I spent the last twenty-five years at East Jackson Middle School as a teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. In a great leap, I was honored to accept the assistant principal position at Ila Elementary. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about the faculty, students, parents, and community at Ila, and I am beyond excited to start my twenty-sixth year in education as an Ila Gator. 

I earned both my Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master of Arts Degree at Piedmont College and my Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction from Argosy University.
