She’s our dress-up queen, a steady and reassuring presence, a talented video and photography guru, and a wealth of knowledge in Special Education. Congratulations to our Young Georgia Author Winners! These Huskies had to create an original writing piece without any assistance from teachers or friends! We are so proud of you, Eden Etheridge (5th grade), Mari Lyn Appling (4th grade), Trip Etheridge (3rd grade), Ember Etheridge (2nd grade), Mary Grace Zoeller (1st grade), and Kennedy Burton (Kindergarten).
Congratulations to Coach Gurley! She applied for and was awarded a $2,000 Tanger Kids Grant. With this funding, she will be able to purchase athletic shoes for kids in need. This initiative promotes a safer environment for physical education classes. Additionally, students will have the option to borrow shoes if they accidentally forget to bring appropriate footwear for PE. Thank you, Coach Gurley, for your support of our Huskies!
🚀Third grade’s Wit and Wisdom study on the Apollo 11 mission came to life with a special visit from astronaut Buzz Aldrin today. Students were ‘over the moon’ to share facts and details from their books, Moonshot and One Giant Leap. What a fun way to encourage our students to ‘reach for the stars’ in reading.🌕👨🚀
