Thank you for visiting the website of Danielsville Elementary School (DES).
Danielsville Elementary is one of five elementary schools in Madison County, Georgia and the only elementary school in Danielsville. The school serves over 500 students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade and employs 67 faculty and staff members. We have amazingly smart and well-behaved students. Caring parents and awesome staff round out the Colt Family. In addition to this website, the staff communicates via phone calls, text messages, Social Media, parent conferences, student agendas, monthly school calendars, weekly newsletters, parent organizations, the marquee sign, and postcards. These efforts help us achieve our mission of Determination Equals Success. Students understand that hard work pays off. It is so important to build a bridge from home to school. Working together has positively impacted student achievement. An exemplary instructional program and a dedicated staff can share the credit for this success.

The school's instructional program consists of math, reading, writing, language arts, social studies, and science. Students also are interacting with curriculums in physical education, art, music and computer classes. Danielsville provides a variety of support services for its students. Early Intervention Program classes, Title 1 services, Student Services, Gifted classes, Counseling, an after-school program, CAMP Learn-A-Lot, Thinking Caps and Colt Express.

Teachers strive to improve their effectiveness through participation in various professional learning experiences. Teachers have been trained in Guided Reading and Guided Math. We are also beginning Cognitively Guided Math Instruction K-5. Teachers work in Professional Learning Communities to plan engaging lessons and collaborate on student data.

Teachers and support staff are the heart of DES! They treat each child as they would their own children. High expectations and supportive character building make for an impressive student-teacher relationship that reaches outside the four walls of a classroom.

Please visit the school and see for yourself excellence in progress!
