Early Learning Center Students
- Breakfast and Lunch are no cost due to Provision 2 at this school
Adults and All Visitors
- Breakfast--$2.25
- Lunch--$4.50
Please note that we are able to keep our student meal prices at SY 20 levels due to increased USDA reimbursements for each student meal as our nation recovers from the pandemic. Adult and visitor meals do not receive these reimbursements so they are priced at full plate cost, but these are still lower than the typical restaurant for an entree and loads of fruits and vegetables.

For the past 2 years, we have been able to feed all students without applications at no cost, but that USDA waiver has ended for School Year 2023. All families that intend for their children to receive free or reduced meals must apply. Approval is based on household income. Families with SNAP or TANF benefits are also eligible and may be directly certified through that agency. If you have not received a letter telling you that your students have been approved for free meals by the first day of school, we will need an application from you.
We participate in Provision 2 meals for Breakfast only which allows us to feed breakfast to all students at no cost regardless of eligibility status for SY23. Lunch for paid students is $2.10 for elementary and $2.35 for middle/high students. All reduced eligible lunches are only $.40.

- Schools can use MyPaymentsPlus for parents and community members to pay for fees, ASP, field trips, fund raisers, even donations.
- Even if you have used our old Parent Portal to make payments, you will need to set up your new account in MyPaymentsPlus. This is a one-time process that is simple and secure.
Madison County Schools is transitioning to using MyPaymentsPlus beginning July 2022.

Universal Free Breakfast Program
Free Breakfast for Students!
Breakfast is an important part of every child's day. Studies have shown that students that eat breakfast perform better in academics and have decreased illness, tardiness, and absenteeism.
Because breakfast is so important to the growing child, Madison County School Nutrition will continue the Universal Free Breakfast Provision 2 Program for the 2022-23 school year. Each student in the system can receive a no-cost breakfast at all of our schools. If the child wishes to purchase additional items they can do so at a nominal cost. Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of this benefit!

Smart Snacks In Schools 2015
Beginning School Year 2015 there will be new nutrition standards for all foods served in schools during the school day, including vending machines and fundraisers.
"The Smart Snacks in School nutrition standards support better health for our kids and echo the good work already taking place in schools across the country. The new standards preserve flexibility for time-honored traditions like fundraisers and bake sales, and provide ample transition time for schools. USDA is committed to working closely with students, parents, school stakeholders, and the food and beverage industries to implement the new guidelines, and make the healthy choice the easy choice for America’s young people."
