Mr. Johnathan Harris

This is my first year being a Red Raider and my 14th in education. I spent the first 10 years of my career teaching High School Social Studies at Franklin County and East Jackson Comprehensive High Schools, followed by three years as an Assistant Principal at Franklin County Middle School. My wife Jamie and our three children, Dash, Ryker, and Mickey, continually support and encourage me along the way. I am very excited about the opportunity I have been given to work with such an amazing faculty and staff here at MCHS. The individuals at MCHS place students first and care about building relationships that foster student learning, and I can't wait to see the amazing things that happen this year!

This is my 7th year as a member of the Raider Nation. My education career started in 2007 at Elbert County High School where I taught Math. I moved to Madison County in 2016 to teach math and fell in love with MCHS. In 2018, I became an Assistant Principal and have loved working with our wonderful students and staff. This is a great place to live and work. I am so excited to see our school continue to grow and achieve new heights in all areas.

MCHS Assistant Principal Student Services

I am excited to be starting my 4th year as an assistant principal at Madison County High School. As Special Education Coordinator and head of student services, I will continue serving students and teachers in the special education department. I am in my 26th year in education with time spent in Gwinnett County at Duluth High School, Fulton County at Roswell High School, and Jefferson City Schools at Jefferson High School and Jefferson Academy. Along with being a teacher, I was also a football coach for 22 years. This year marks my 8th as an administrator and I enjoy being a resource for students, teachers, and parents.
My wife, Sabrina, is also a career educator and together we have 5 children, 3 grandchildren, and two dogs.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my years at Madison County and being a part of the Red Raider family. I am looking forward to a great year and continuing building relationships and supporting learning.

Go Red Raiders!
