Dr. Christy Epps

Welcome to the 2023 - 2024 school year at Madison County High School - Home of the Red Raiders!

I am Dr. Christy Epps and it is my honor and privilege to join Madison County High School as your Principal. I bring 18 years of educational experience to Madison County High School.  I was in the classroom for nine years at Commerce High School where I served as a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher, FCCLA sponsor, and Work-Based Learning Coordinator.  I have nine years of administrative experience in Rome City Schools.  I served as Associate Principal for Rome Middle School, Principal at Rome’s Phoenix Learning Center and Virtual Learning Academy, and CTAE Director for the College and Career Academy.

Our PBIS motto is ‘We are MC - We are Motivated and Committed to Character.’ While this motto provides us the framework to teach students academic and behavioral expectations, it also applies to all teachers and administrators. I will be dedicated to supporting all students through the academic, arts and athletic opportunities at Madison County High School. I look forward to working with the school community and celebrating our successes both in and out of the classroom. Go Red Raiders!

Mr. William Bryant

It is my pleasure to be joining the MCHS staff this year as an Assistant Principal. Prior to coming to Madison County, I taught and coached in Gwinnett County and Cherokee County where I taught Social Studies, Mathematics, and Special Education. Since joining the MCHS family I have felt nothing but welcomed from the school community, which is a testament to the community at large. I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Georgia and my Masters in Educational Administration from Kennesaw State University. It is my goal to serve and support our school community to give every student the opportunity to achieve individual success both in and out of the classroom. My wife and I have 1 daughter and are expecting our 2nd child in mid-September. When not at school I am most happy spending time with my family, hunting/fishing, woodworking, and rooting on the Dawgs! I am looking forward to a successful year. Go Red Raiders!
