My educational career began at Colbert Elementary teaching 2nd grade.  One of my favorite memories is reading The Wizard of Oz to my first class, discussing how it’s not WHERE you go that’s important- it’s WHO you meet along the way.  Truer words have never been spoken. I have loved every minute of the last 15 years, serving the Colbert community as both a teacher and an administrator.  

My husband, Dallas, has been teaching English at Madison County High School since 2005. We enjoy our small-town life in Colbert with our two children, Mora and Zant, and our family and friends. We are avid readers, support the Dawgs and the Braves, and believe whole-heartedly in keeping the main thing the main thing.

I’m looking forward to many more years working with the students of Madison County.  In the words of Dorothy- there’s no place like home.
