Volleyball: Congratulations to the Volleyball B-Team for defeating Oconee Friday night to remain undefeated!!!!
Softball: Congratulations to the Softball Team for defeating Stephens Co. 12-0. They have a game today at 5:00 in Commerce. Their last home game is this Thursday against Franklin Co. at 4:30.
FFA: Floral Design practice is Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at the high school. Floriculture practice is Wednesday at the high school. Land Judging practice is Monday and the contest Tuesday. WE will leave at 3 pm Tuesday. Meet in Mr. Lastly’s room at the car rider ball. Livestock Judging will be Monday only this week.
FFA: Good luck to the Livestock Judging Team, they are competing at the Gwinnett Co. Fair.
FCCLA: Forms for Fall Leadership Rally at the Perry Fair are available outside Mrs. Coker’s room. You must be a paid member to be eligible or be on the list of students doing fundraisers. Cost is $20. Only 14 spots available on a first come first serve basis. Form are due back no later than next Thursday, September 21. Please read all info carefully about the event, especially the date of the event.
FCCLA: First Business meeting will be Thursday morning before school from 7:15-7:45. You must be a dues paid member to attend or be on the fundraiser list. You will need to see Mrs. Coker with your agenda to get a membership pass before the day of the meeting.
FCCLA: Next social will be after school on Thursday, September 28th. This will be a Create Your Own Pizza Social. For dues paid members only.
BETA Club: Interested in being in a great service club here at MCMS? Our MCMS Junior BETA Club is now taking applications for new members. If your progress report grades were all A’s and B’s, and you would like to apply for membership, you may pick up an application form from Mrs. Smith (room 1227) or Mrs. Krolikowski (room 1125) any time next Monday thru Friday of next week. BETA Club meets after school 3-4 times a month, so is you cannot stay after school for meeting, please do not apply. Any questions? See Mrs. Smith or Mrs. K.
Yearbook: Yearbook meeting Tuesday the 19th until 3:45.
Media: Family Night at the Madison County Library is September 21st from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. You will get PRIDE Bucks for attending!! See posters in hall for more information.
Book Fair: Fall Book Fair is coming October 2nd-10th. Open school hours and parent conferences.
Dance: House 1100 will be hosting the first dance of the school year on September 22nd from 3:00-5:00. Tickets are on sale now during your lunch period for $5 or $7 at the door. Plan on coming out and showing off your dance moves!!
4H: FTC Robotics will meet on Tuesdays in Mrs. Christian’s Room. Please feel free to join us and learn about this new team. Call 706-795-2281.
4-H: Wildlife Judging Team members practice on Wednesday’s afterschool at the 4-H office. 4-H bus transportation is provided but please call 706-795-2281.

Red Flagged Buses: The following buses are overloaded and cannot take any extra students: 16-24 (Alexander), 03-81 (Knott), 15-20 (Layton) and 15-21 (Arrendale). Only students that live on these routes can ride these buses.
Middle Grade Students: are NOT allowed to ride the bus to the High School and get off their bus to ride home with anyone else (car or another bus) or to attend an After School Event, without prior approval from transportation.
