Planning Process

In May 2010, the Madison County Board of Education submitted a letter of intent to the Georgia State Department of Education to become a charter system.  The Madison County charter system development process started immediately and involved over 150 community members, staff, and students.  The 18-month process included many hours of meetings, presentations to the community and staff, media coverage, and conversations with existing charter systems.  

The planning process was chronicled with artifacts to show the charter system development process.
